Description: Super style and quality round walnut Victorian center table with a lovely book matched burled veneer top. Note there is a slight joint separation in the top. The entire skirt features marquetry inlay and a drawer on one side. The drawer has a wonderful original cast brass drop pull with two lion heads. The tube base has four legs with burl and incised carvings on the tops and sides. It sits on the original metal castors.
Most tables of this style are made of mahogany. It is very unusual to find one of these in walnut with extensive burl and marquetry decoration!
