Description: A fabulous rosewood Victorian table with the original shaped
white marble inset top (slight scratch in the marble). We attribute this
table to Joseph Meeks, NYC. It has a rope molding carved along the edge and
a most intricate open carved design in the skirt (some professional
restoration). The four curved legs have fancy applied carvings. The bottom
stretcher is open carved and features a boldly carved center finial. The
lovely rosewood grain is very prominent over the entire piece. A great
table by one of the best furniture makers of the Victorian period!
