Description: Large Victorian Heavily Carved Rococo Walnut Center Table
with original turtle shaped marble top and fancy shaped apron with
hanging carvings.The heavily carved legs are beautifully rendered and
supported by pierced carved stretchers with a wonderful tiered center
finial. The form of the stretcher and finial suggest that it could be
the work of
Alexander Roux, New York. The old writing on the edge reads "Bartolette Redding"
and may be the name of an original owner or person who commissioned the
table.
