Description: A substantial heavily carved mahogany armchair. This piece
has "2828" inscribed on the inside of the front stretcher (see photo). It
was likely made in Chicago by Karpen but we can't make a definitive
attribution. The arms and bottom stretchers have rich deep intricate
carvings. The fabric on the chair shows some wear and one of the brass
buttons on the edge is missing. A well constructed, fine quality, sturdy
chair with exceptional carvings!
