Description: Matched pair of laminated rosewood sidechairs by Joseph Meeks
in the Stanton Hall pattern. This chair is shown on page 100 of "American
Furniture of the 19th Century" by Eileen and Richard Dubrow. The chairs are pierced
carved and feature a rose carved crest. The Stanton Hall pattern is the
most popular one produced by the Meeks firm. The chairs have recently been
reupholstered. They each have the original brass castors on the front feet.
These chairs would be a nice complement to a sofa or loveseat in the same
pattern. They are in the fine original condition collectors like to find
them in!
