Description: Rare matched pair of laminated rosewood Rococo Victorian chairs with fancy open carved frames and open carved crest. There are carvings on the serpentine fronts and the knees of the cabriole legs. They are covered in old fabric. A very similar chair is shown on page 88 of "American Furniture of the 19th Century 1840-1880" by Eileen and Richard Dubrow.
