Description: Lovely late Victorian mahogany armchair possibly made
by R.J.
Horner, NYC. The back, front, arms and legs of this chair are
completely
inlaid with a floral design. There is some carving at the top of the
chair.
The skirt and arms have an elegant curved shape. The slip seat is
covered
with an old needlepoint fabric exhibiting some wear. It could be easily
recovered in a material of your choice for an additional charge.
Although
unsigned, this is typical of the quality and style of other signed
inlaid
mahogany pieces by Horner that we have had in the past. A very
elegant and
majestic armchair!
