Meg, We all love the desk! It is exactly as pictured. The design is beautiful I love the black molding around the burl and of course I am still shaking my head in disbelief at the initials. The delicacy of the carving (incisure?) around the initials is such a nice touch. Rick really likes it; my mom thinks it is beautiful and a wise investment (thatÕs always important!) and Eli says it is Òway coolÓ and is enthralled with all the cubbies. Hello Meg and Bruce! The embossed Irises arrived Wednesday in perfect condition and I must say the lamp is one of our favorite pieces. Even though it's clear and frosted glass it has a way of changing hues depending from where in the parlor you look upon such beauty. The closest antique shop to me that has anything of real merit is in Orange, CA. I make a small detour there a few times a year when I go to visit family or take my annual Disneyland vacation. Dear Meg, Just to let you know that the easel arrived yesterday and we are very pleased with it. When the crate was delivered I was a little concerned that one corner had been smashed in with a big footprint on the crate. Fortunately, the easel was packed well and sustained no damage.
