Description: Fabulous quality walnut Victorian sewing stand. When the top lifts up a gorgeous satin wood interior is revealed with mirror on the underside of the lid and various slotted compartments. There is an original sophisticated metal sliding support on the left side. There is a rounded drawer in the bottom that was used for thread. Even that has a secondary of satin wood. The base has fancy turnings and carvings with a shaped stretcher. It is obvious from the super original condition of this piece that it has been treasured for the last hundred and forty years!
