Description: Unusual mahogany hanging cabinet. This piece has a whimsical
carved head in the top crest with a spindled gallery around the front of the
top. The cabinet is asymmetrical with a front door flanked by a swing out
drawer on the left and a curved cupboard door on the right. There is an
intricate flower carving on all of these elements. The drawer has an
original round brass pull while a small key opens and locks the two doors.
The inside backboard of the middle section has a crack which doesn't affect
the structure in any way. Spool turned columns decorate the front of each
side. There are incised carvings on the bottom. An unusual and decorative
cabinet!
