Description: Rare Renaissance Revival Victorian sewing cabinet in birdseye
maple with rosewood moldings, carvings, escutcheons and trim. The very top
of the cabinet lifts up to reveal a shallow compartment. A mirror is on the
underside of the lid. A fancy compartmentalized interior is underneath the
larger top portion. Beneath that is another drawer with dividers and a
barrel thread drawer that pulls out from the bottom of the case. A lot of
action for small piece of furniture! The back is also finished. This is a
beautifully piece made out of two of the finest Victorian woods. They make
a gorgeous contrast of colors and grains.
