Description: Great carved-to-death solid quartered oak curio top sideboard.
The unusual middle top crest is curved and has a lovely carved cluster of
fruit in the center. The hooded top features two curios with beveled glass
fronts and sides and glass shelves. This portion is supported by two full
figured winged griffins. Three beveled glass mirrors are in back of the top
surface under the hood. The base has carved drawer and cupboard fronts,
rope twist columns and wonderful heavy cast brass hardware (two of the key
escutcheons have been replaced). The front of the case sets on two carved
claw feet. This is the best oak sideboard that we have offered for
sale!
