Description: Magnificent Victorian French style server. This piece retains
it's original gilt surface with some normal wear in places. There is a
curio cabinet at each end with mirrors on the back and inside sides. The
glass shelves have been replaced. There is a fancy decorative beaded
molding on the front doors. (This was also on the sides but since much of
it was missing we removed the remainder). There are fabulous paintings on
the doors. One has a gentleman and lady and the other one has a lady with a
doe. Intricate bronze mounts decorate the case and the feet. The back
gallery is signed "PEG." The legs have a gentle curve and are beautifully
designed with small bronze claw feet. This is a most impressive
cabinet!
