Description: Great walnut Victorian pedestal. This piece features two
beautifully carved full figured cranes holding up the top with a ornate
shaped center post between them. The top itself has a curved shaped skirt
with carving. The cranes stand on a rectangular pedestal base with
horizontal line carving and a carved top. Most pedestals of this type were
made of cherry. The walnut gives this a rich color. A very fine American
made pedestal with a hint of Japanese influence!
