Description: Fabulous matched pair of mahogany Victorian stands
attributed
to Associated Artists. These elegant stands have a rope molding
surrounding
the rectangular tops. The tops rotate on a sophisticated metal
apparatus
that sits on the underside. The skirts and legs feature detailed
carvings
with the feet ending in well defined claw feet. Associated Artists
was a
firm formed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1879. They produced only
the best
in both quality and design. These two stands came from an estate in
Connecticut. They once held two sculptures by Associated Artists.
The
sculptures were sold off years ago and we were fortunate enough to
obtain
these wonderful pedestals. They are in wonderful original
condition!
