Description: Most Unusual Victorian Cherry Pedestal with cabinet
compartment that opens
at the front and back with the original beveled glass doors. Both sides
are identical with open
carvings of water plants decorating the sides. The base is supported by
two standing elegant cranes and
a shaped platform base with small shaped feet that are delicately
decorated with incising. One
tiny piece of brass hardware is missing off a handle but is still
operable. The carvings of
the cranes on this piece are especially well done.
