Description: Great matched pair of solid bronze Victorian gueridons. The
inset middle medallion in each says "Ol??rias XCI Gr?ect Syracusis Captivi."
They are signed by the artist "Emile Louis Picault" and dated 1862. Picault
(1839-1915) is listed in Davenport's Art Reference & Price Guide. Each one
has a very ornate base with dragons holding a chain. They are held up by
three fancy legs. A most unusual pair of gueridons!
