Description: Gracefully Carved Quartered Oak Armchair with very unusual open
pierced carved back sections. The center back panel is solid with pretty applied
scrolled carvings with beading. On either side of that panel are intricate openwork
sections with delicate scrolling that is amazingly all intact. The long arms raise up
to create a loop underneath and are decorated with nice carvings on the inside and outside. The front apron is also well carved. The seat upholstery is old but very usable with a
couple small stains. Two bulbous ribbed front feet complete this lovely chair
