Description: Large Stick and Ball Oak Rocking Chair with unusual deep shell carvings in the back and incised cat tails on either side. The top side finials are large pronounced rounded caps with an ornate stick and ball panel in between the turned side posts. Underneath the panel are tapered and shaped spindles. There is more fancy stick and ball work under the arms which end in large round balls. The seat is recently reupholstered in a nice tapestry but is easy to change as the seat lifts up. The bottom features well turned legs and large curved rockers. This pretty chair is comfortable and also rocks very smoothly.
