Description: Elegant walnut Victorian library desk made by Alexander Roux, NYC. A felt writing surface has been installed in the top by the previous owner. There are two drawers in front. Each of the interiors has a label from the Roux workshop showing the original factory building (see photos). The labels have some damage but are 80% intact. It has very graceful, yet sturdy, carved legs. A functional table by one of America's most renowned makers of the period!
