Description: Important R. J. Horner Mahogany Library Table with Full Standing Lions
in wonderful original condition. The top has a thick band of carving around the perimeter
with leaves, scrolling and four sections of winged griffins in relief, bowing to each other!
The heavy apron is shaped and thickly carved. The standing lions have a jovial expression
and hold scrolled plaques between their paws and claw feet. The lions are exceptionally well
done with their tails curled up against their backs. The center drawer has a three dimensional
lion face pull that is especially well carved. This solid table is in immaculate, original condition
