Description: Fantastic solid quartered oak partners library table attributed to R J Horner, NYC. The top has a deep band of carving around the inner rim and a rope carved molding around the edge. There is a slight seam separation in the top surface. The curved skirt is entirely carved and has a one drawer on each side with an adjacent false drawer. They have fancy original cast brass pulls. Even the interiors of the drawers are made of oak (see photo). The top is supported by full standing winged griffins typical of the Horner company. The griffins rest on a thick platform with bun feet. This is a magnificent table made of great figured tiger oak. A great example of R J Horner style and craftsmanship!
