Description: Lovely signed Handel #5066 table lamp in the "red sunset" design with an unusual border of repeated overlapping waves over green glass. Lamps in this identical pattern are shown on pages 92-94 of "Metaloverlays by Handel" by Robert Defalco and page 54 of "The Handel Lamps Book" by Carole and John Hibel. The latter book even shows the lamp with the same base. The color of the original glass captures the brilliance of an evening sunset. The base and shade retain their original patina. The lamp has been rewired. It is signed on the underside of the base and the ring around the top of the shade (see photos). Handel lamps are highly prized by collectors.
