Description: Large Gorgeous Overlay Handel Lamp (signed on base and shade)
in fine original condition. The stylized tree trunk base has the original sockets
and acorn tip pull chains and is signed underneath (see photo). The brown silk cord is
replaced well and the plug is old. The shade is spectacular
with nine separate top panels with an ornate cut out design with landscape paintings.
The silhouettes of trees on the landscape create depth and the artistic effect that
Handel overlays are famous for. Similar metalwork is shown on page 81 of
"Metal Overlays by Handel" by Robert DeFalco. This beautiful lamp is lovely, and
