Description: Solid walnut Eastlake Victorian gentleman's chest with side
lock bar on the left side. This piece has a lovely gallery on the top with
raised burl decoration on the back and returns and a fancy finial on each
side. Each of the six graduated drawers has a burled front and original
ring pulls. The left side has a bar of wood which was used to keep the
maids out of the man's personal belongings! We have the original key and
the lock works. The chest has the original castors and the case is tight
and the drawers all work smoothly. A handsome functional chest of
drawers!
