Description: Fabulous Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian lockside chest
with desk in the middle. It has an ornate gallery featuring fancy turned
spindles and finials. It has two small drawers in the top over six full
size drawers. The two top drawers have brass key escutcheons while the
bottom drawers have lovely carved pulls. The middle drawer has a pull out
desk section with spindles in the side, several drawers and cubbies and the
original felt writing surface. The sides have carved flowers in the top and
shaped carved columns beneath. The right side column can be locked to
secure the drawers. There is a wonderful little mini wooden block that
swings out to get to the lock (see photo). This is an exceptional quality
solid Victorian gentleman's chest in superb original condition.
