Description: Gorgeous Bulbous Limoges Triple Handled Vase beautifully handpainted
with a gentleman helping a lady to cross a brook. The figures are dressed in elegant period clothes. She wears a bustled gown and the lacework on both outfits is raised with white enamel paint. In the scene, he holds her parasol in one hand while extending his other hand to guide her as she steps on stones to cross. Notice the attention to detail of this romantic
scene (see photos). The back is finished with a spray of green foliage. The vase it artist signed in the right hand bottom corner in script that appears to be "M. A. Allen." It is in over all fine original condition only with a few light scratches on the inside top rim of gold (perhaps
from thorns of roses). The base is signed "Haviland France" with the green mark.
