Description: Fine Quality Victorian Walnut Renaissance Revival Two Part Double Burled Barrel Cylinder Secretary. Secretary has a large carved crest with raised burl, scrolling and incising with shell pediment. The two arched doors have raised burl and rosettes on the side stiles and delicate incising with carving on the tops. The pleated cloth curtains on the doors inside are old but very attractive. There are four original adjustable shelves on the inside. The double inset burled cylinder is in wonderful original condition with two well carved raised floral handles. The cylinder rolls back to reveal a lovely burled fitted interior with pull out writing surface. The surface is old and usable and appears to be the original one. The base has two large raised burled panel doors with fancy rosettes in each corner and a custom file on the interior right side.
