Description: Majestic walnut Victorian butler's secretary. There is a carved removable crest on the very top with incised shaped raised panels on the sides. The two top doors have a thick molding around the glasses. There are four adjustable shelves with walnut fronts. The interior has been painted yellow. The top "drawer" pulls out and when the lid drops down a lovely desk interior is revealed with several cubbies and two drawers with birdseye maple fronts. There are open carvings on the side of the lid (see photo). The desk has an old, possibly original, felt surface with some wear. We could have a leather surface installed for an extra charge. There is a shelf in the interior of the base. The drawer has fancy carved pulls and two large applied clumps of carved fruit adorn the doors.
