Description: Lovely Aesthetic Victorian walnut cylinder secretary. It has
beautifully turned small spindles in the middle of the gallery and three
sides of the bottom stretcher. The inset panel of the roll and the drawer
fronts are enhanced with a fancy curly burled veneer. A beautiful incised
carved design decorates the sides and front of the desk. An original black
trim was used to highlight the various moldings. Notice the very stylish
original ring pulls on the drawer front! The interior has two burled front
drawers and several cubbies with arched tops. The pullout writing surface
has been recovered in a thin fabric (there is one small divot under the
fabric). The unusual original double castors on the bottom are sure sign of
fine quality. A most unusual desk of fantastic design!
