Description: Beautiful rosewood early Victorian secretary. There is a
carved crest on top. The top has a double ogee molding and two doors with
open carving in the corners. When the doors are opened they reveal a
wonderful satin wood interior with rosewood columns, a shelf, six drawers
and cubbies and a mirror in back. The base has a top drawer which is a drop
down butlers desk with turned spindles on the sides, three cubbies and a
felt surface. The bottom two doors have mirrors in them with open carvings
on the top corners. There is a shelf in the interior. The case has
carvings on the sides and the back of the secretary is champhored (see
photo). This piece is a very cute size and in very good original condition.
There are some minor shrinkage cracks in the sides of the bottom.
