Description: Rare suite of twelve high style mahogany Victorian dining room chairs with two arms. The shaped backs have a number of open carved cutouts and carvings on each side. The skirts have a gentle serpentine shape and are made of figured mahogany. The chairs have finely turned legs in front. The leather on the seats is in good shape - they were done by a previous owner. Most of the chairs retain their original castors that are signed (see photo). When we purchased these chairs they were in need of a number of minor repairs which we have done. They are now in good usable and tight condition. These chairs would be the perfect complement to a large walnut or mahogany Victorian dining room table. Even though they are mahogany they would also match the original walnut patina of the tables we offer for sale.
