Description: Wonderful Victorian temple gong. The circular brass gong is
held in a carved mahogany stand. The ring on the top has some normal minor
age separations around the glue joints - this doesn't affect the supporting
structure. The top is held up by a tapered fluted column. This sets on a
lovely pedestal with intricately carved claw feet. The gong comes with an
original striking mallet (shown in bottom of photo). The small top chain is a replacement. A lovely and unusual
decorative (and functional) piece of Victoriana!
