Description: Cookie Corner Victorian Walnut Half Commode with the original bevel edge marble signed "C & J. O'Neil's Marble Works, 219 & 221 West 29th St, New York." The side stiles are curved and reeded at the top and below are incised and petite burls panels. The drawer is figured walnut with a fine ornate key escutcheon with burl and carvings. The door has a beautiful insert figured walnut panel and picture frame moldings.The feet are bulbous and round and correspond with the cookie corner lines. In fine original finish and condition, this piece is also finished on the back (another sign of superior quality).
