Description: Great Renaissance Revival rosewood Victorian armoire with an original mirrored door. The top crest has a large carved pediment on top. Underneath that is a heavily figured rosewood panel with original gilt incised carvings with a raised bronze plaque in the middle. The rounded sides have fluting at the top. The bottom drawer has vertical carved pulls set into a raised figured rosewood panel There are also raised panels on each side. The interior is all birdseye maple and empty. Shelving or a bar for hangers could be easily added. The top panel of the backboard has been replaced. A wonderful formal armoire of the period!
