Description: Wonderful Early Victorian Rococo Birdseye Maple Armoire with elegant carved cresting on the top front and sides, and four large bulbous finials. Notice the inset bowed shaped panels on the sides, beautiful unusual grain, and elegant arched original mirrored door. The interior has three original shelves (one shelf is missing.) The armoire comes all apart for easy moving and is signed by the maker "I. HIMMB." (Note: since the original photo was taken we have added a well turn knob to the door since the lock was missing and the lock space has been filled to look finished - more photos available upon request.) This large armoire can be used for its original purpose for clothing storage, or, perhaps for today's more modern needs, as an entertainment center!
