Description: Rare and important rosewood Rococo Victorian marble top table
signed by Alexander Roux. The remnants of the original label can be seen
under the top (see photo). It has the original shaped inset marble with an
intricately cut edge and an usual recessed interior. The four corners of
the top are carved. There is also carving on each of the four sides of the
skirt. The graceful carved cabriole legs are supported in the middle by
open carved stretchers. A magnificent carved finial sits in the middle. A
piece for the serious collector, in great original condition, signed by one
of NYC finest furniture makers of the period!
