Description: Unusual quartered oak shaving stand. It has a rounded corner
beveled mirror held in place by great brass knobs on the sides. The cabinet
has raised panels on the sides, a cupboard door with carving and two drawers
with heavy cast brass pulls. The base has several shelves with curved
supports. It has been reinforced in back with metal brackets by the
previous owner (see photo). We could have them removed and reglue the
entire piece but since they are not visible we left it as it is. We seldom
get shaving stands in oak.
