Description: Splendid Victorian rosewood curio cabinet with an original white marble top. The marble has cut corners and some normal staining. The cabinet has a mirrored back and three original thick rosewood shelves. The case has curved moldings and shapes with two arched glass sides. It is decorated with extensive half round curved moldings. The tremendous quality, construction, and simple elegant design of this piece are indicative of the workshop of Joseph W. Meeks, NYC but we could not find an authenticating signature. The gorgeous grain of the rosewood is very pronounced on the case and shelves. This unusual cabinet would greatly compliment a room setting of Belter, Roux or Meeks furniture!
