Description: Rare Collapsible Victorian Walnut Highchair that transforms into a stroller! When the front side knob is turned it releases the mechanism whereby the chair falls forward and then folds clicking into place as a stroller! We have had other collapsible highchairs before but not with this mechanism. We left the original caning on the back (which is in fine condition) and on the seat (which is punctured as can be seen in the photo). The chair has a lovely shield back with burl and a shaped tray with release mechanism and brass fitting. What a delightful example of Victorian imagination and ingenuity!
