Description: Great high style Renaissance Revival walnut
Victorian
flat top partner's desk. It features lovely raised burled panels on
all
drawers and sides - even on the inside of the knee hole. It is
symmetrical
on both sides so that two people could share the same flat working
space and
have their own drawers. Each side has four drawers on the left and
a drawer
and file on the right and a drawer in the middle. The surface was installed by the previous owner as an inset to the burled top.
There are a
few small wrinkles in the leather. Originally the drawers were
opened by
just a key but someone installed some attractive period brass knobs
at some
time in the past to make it more functional. This desk would be
perfect for a
small person. While it is petite - a full size person can still be
comfortable sitting at it - as you can see in the picture of Derek
sitting
at the desk. Most smaller desks are cheaply made. This one has
fantastic
quality and style!
