Description: Great matched pair of late Victorian two door mahogany
bookcases. Each has a fancy back crest with double shaped beveled
mirrors
(some normal minor silver loss) and fancy applied carvings. The
top has a
curved fluted molding with lovely round carved corners. The doors
have a
shaped top with applied carvings. There are tapered columns on the
sides
with a carved middle portion. Two fully carved drawers
are in the
bottom with lion head pulls. Each bookcase has four individual
adjustable
shelves on each side with a divider in the middle. There is one
original
key that works all doors. The raised panels on the sides and unusual
original double castors are further evidence of the exceptional
quality of
these bookcases!
