Description: Stylish two piece walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian bedroom suite. Both pieces have a highly ornate top crest featuring open carvings, raised burled panels, incised carvings, applied carved buttons, and large fancy finials. Both the head and foot boards have three large raised shaped burled panels in the middle. The side rails have large fancy returns at each end and are ornate in keeping with the overall design of the bed. The bed is a tight full size 54"W x 77"L between the rails. The original mirror on the dresser is flanked by raised burled panels and a round candle shelf supported by a lovely carved sculpted urn on each side. It even has the old diamond dust sparkle that we sometimes see on old mirrors. There are three original white marbles on the drop center base. Two smaller drawers are on each side of the mirror and a large full length drawer, along with a secret drawer, make up the base. The two top drawers have birdseye maple interiors - an indication of superior quality. The drawer fronts are decorated with raised burled panels and have the original fancy tear drop pulls. Each of the sides is covered with a rounded burled veneer. Most of the Victorian suites of this quality are considerably larger. This has most of the desirable features of the larger suites and yet will fit in most any home!
