Description: Lovely solid walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian bed. The measurement between the rails is 56"W x 78"L which is larger than full size and smaller than queen. The headboard features a large carved center crest with a convex burled middle. The middle of the headboard has a large recessed burled panel. There are very fine open carved fancy finials on the sides. The siderails have high returns at both ends with carvings and a raised burled panel in the middle. The footboard has fluted columns on each side with carved tops. There is a recessed burled panel in the middle and an arched top with applied buttons on each side. The bed is in very good original condition with some very minor flaws - a chip in the right foot of the footboard and a chip in the carving of one rail.
