Description: Four original large racing prints by J. F. Herring Sen. These beautiful prints were engraved by J. Harris. The prints are numbered by "Forbes National Sports" and are titled "Saddling, The Run In, A False Start, and Returning to ??leigh." Herring (1795-1865) was a British artist specializing in horses and landscapes. The colors are brilliant. They were published in London in 1857. They were framed c. 1900 by Philip Suval, NYC. The oak frames are in original condition. A great set of prints!
